Expatriate Britons should to take out buck private health insurance policies to ensure that they are covered.

Some half a 1000000 UK expats live on the Costa Blanca, the vast bulk of whom are under 50, they and all other expats in the Valencia region will now be denied heath care.

The provincial government of the part previously provided free health care to all expats, with the aim of encouraging house price investing. However, with house terms falling the grant has been withdrawn suddenly.

According to a study from the wellness ministry of the part: “It is costing us an extra £790m yearly to look after a 1000000 new occupant as well as long-stay tourists and our services are at impregnation point. Some come to Spain to have their heart operation or hip substitution here at a good standard and more rapidly than in their own state.”
