Patient power in tory health proposals

Of involvement to both and those that choose the subject , the Conservatives have pledged to scrap labor targets for the NHS and which hospitals are the most efficient.

The new plans for the service, unveiled by David Cameron at a address at the Royal College of Surgeons, indicates that patients will be given a greater share of power to control their own care. The info to provide this power could also come from patients.

The shift has already been praised by BUPA, who think patient-report outcome measurements should be collected and reported. Cameron was reported as commenting: "In place of Labour's self-defeating top-down targets, we will harness the power of info and publish the item of result."
