Adventurous Brits need adequate travel insurance A one-fourth of holidaymakers from the UK are look for more from their traveling than lying on a beach, but they do not ever have sufficient travel insurance cover to participate in the risky activities they want to pursue.

Esure has said that 25 per cent of British people holidaymakers now choose their finish based on the adventurous activities they can take part in, such as scuba diving event, white water rafting and bungee cord jumping.

about 90 per cent of Brits have taken part in such treacherous activities whilst on vacation, and more than 2.81000000 of these have incurred an hurt in the procedure. But one in 10 travellers wrongly believe their traveling insurance will cover such jaunt as criterion, failing to read the small print and not realising that they are departure themselves vulnerable to expensive medical bills.

Just two thirds of Brits travel abroad would fuss to take the time to check their traveling insurance policy before pickings part in a dangerous sport or other activity, esure found, and 15 per cent even go ahead and take the risk when they know that they will not be covered by their insurance.

One in 10 Brits admit to trying dangerous activities such as off-road mountain biking, scuba diving event, jet skiing and canoeing, because of pressure level from their kid, friends or household, whilst others simply want a good story to tell when they get home or to impressment friends and co-worker.

Mike Pickard, head of traveling insurance at esure, said: "Brits want more from their vacation nowadays and appear to be swapping the sun dallier for the bungee cord cord. It's not where they've been on vacation but what they've done that seems to be important.

"With a surge in the popularity of, and entree to, more adventurous sports and activities at vacation resorts across the globe, it's crucial for holidaymakers to take out travel insurance and check they're covered before they try out the likes of white water rafting in Australia or shark-feeding in the Bahamas. Get injured and the medical bills could turn a paradise trip into a nightmare."

Esure recommends that travelers compare_travel insurance and read the policy documents carefully to make sure they are covered for everything they want to do on their travels. Many policies offer specialist cover, such as wintersports travel insurance or optional extras for adventure-seekers.
