New visas and compulsory health insurance

A new fee construction for the UAE visit visa will be in place from Aug 1. Instead of acquiring workers on visit visas, companies can bring in workers from other state on missionary post visas allowing them a stay of three calendar month and cost the companies Dh200. They can not be renewed.

Health insurance has been made compulsory for all visitors and it will be paid by the sponsoring employer at the time of issue of the visa.
