Londoners proved to be most neglectful at protecting their homes, with 22 per cent of grownup deciding they could do without home contents insurance. Another five per cent of the capital's population were not even sure if their home contents were insured person, so accordingly might not be covered for harm to their homes. People in Yorkshire and Humberside are the most timid in the state, as 96 per cent have taken out cover for their belongings, closely followed by Scotland (95 per cent) and the South West and Wales (94 per cent).
