Expatriate healthcare: top operations for expats revealed

contact differences in the type of health care needed by expats around the world have been revealed by Bupa International, the world's largest exile health insurance company.

Colonoscopies topped the conference table of the most park procedures carried out on BUPA International's eight 1000000 members worldwide, followed by cesarean delivery births. Caesareans are most popular in Africa where expats living there are 30 percentage more probably to have a cesarean delivery delivery than their opposite number in Europe.

Investigative process such as scans are the most park operation in Europe. Expats there have more colonoscopies than those in Africa, Asia and the center East combined. Bupa's associate checkup director Dr Sneh Khemka says: "It's clear that expats around the world have different health needs. The clime, culture and culinary art of the state they live in is probably to affect their wellness and well being over time, but these fig show that certain procedures are more park in some parts of the world than others. This could be because of tendency in checkup practice in the part or it could be down to local factors such as handiness to specializer hospitals and treatment centres."

The study also shows that:

• Expats in Africa have more operations to remove their appendix than those in any other part of the world.
• Expats in the center East have more operations to remove their gall vesica than those in any other part of the world.
• Operations to fix a herniation are park in the center East but rare everyplace else.
• Operations to remove skin lesions and moles are park in most regions of the world.
• Operations to remove cataracts feature in the top ten procedures in every region of the world.
