Expats in uae to get insurance

exile residing in Dubai and the Northern Emirates will be covered by a wellness insurance scheme from next year, under a Federal soldier insurance law.

 

By 2008, a Federal soldier law on wellness insurance will be enacted to provide expat occupant with wellness services in tax return for a wellness insurance insurance premium.

 

The draft law has been finalised and submitted to the Legislations Committee. It awaits approval of higher authorities.

 

In Abu Dhabi, more than half a 1000000 expatriates have been covered by a mandatary health insurance since July 2006.
