Allianz worldwide care policy updates

Allianz has made a figure of alteration to health care Plans for person business.

The key alteration are
  • The names of Core Plans have changed as follows – Premier becomes Premier person, Select becomes Select person and so on
  • A new benefit for laser eye treatment has been added to the Prime Minister Individual Core Plan (the insurance company is one of the very few international health insurers to offer this benefit)
  • The executive director and Club Core Plans have been replaced by a new Core Plan called Club person, which has been enhanced with a figure of new benefits which were not antecedently available on either the old executive director or Club Plans i.e. Disbursal for one individual accompanying an evacuated/repatriated individual; laser eye treatment; psychiatry and psychotherapeutics and exigency out-patient dental treatment
  • A new offprint, optional pregnancy Plan so that people who do not require this benefit can exclude it from their cover. This pregnancy Plan, available to couples and household only, has a benefit for modus operandi maternity and a benefit for complications of childbearing. An Out-patient Plan needs to be selected in concurrence with a pregnancy Plan.

insurance premium rates have been adjusted in line with a move to offprint rates per age and to business relationship for checkup inflation, a specific premium rate load has been applied to members who are occupant in Hong Kong or China. This is to reflect the peculiarly high (and rise) cost of checkup care in these part.

Allianz has moved from a scheme where they charged a rate per age band e.g. 31-35 or 36-40 years of age, to one where they complaint a offprint rate per person age e.g. 31, 32, 33 and so on. They feel that this is a more accurate method of insurance premium rate computation, as it is based on a individual’s actual age and associated level of health insurance risk. It will also ensure a more gradual rate change each year, avoiding the large premium increases associated with moving from one age band to another.
